You must have seen chopped fresh fruits threaded onto a wooden stick. These are called fruit skewers. Most of the kids and adults love this appetizer.

2. Coat the chopping fruits in a thin layer of citric juice. Lemon juice serves the purpose best. It will prevent fruits from oxidising. However, you don’t need to perform the process son non-oxidising fruits like cherries, melons and grapes.  
   
3. If you don’t have citrus juice, you can simply immerse the fruits in cold water. Fill the bowl upto the brim and put fruits in it.

4. It is better to keep the fruits in an airtight bowl or cover the bowl properly with a plastic sheet.
 This fruit salad can be refrigerated for 3-5 days.

To prevent banana slices from discolouration is a daunting task. You can dip the slices into any fruit juice like orange juice, apple juice, lemon juice or lime juice is a great solution.
However, if you are worried about the mix flavours
it will induce, you can simply replace the juice with soda water or club soda.

5.     How to prevent apples from browning?
There are many ways of preventing the apple from browning. You can dip the slices in lemon juice or ginger ale. Also, you can soak the apple in salt water to prevent oxidization. It can be sprinkled with ascorbic acid powder.
The best way is to put the apple slice back and wrap them from a rubber band.
